About Daunting Claws

Daunting Claws is a one-person, independently owned shop run by me, Jax (chosen name), in Michigan City, Indiana, USA. I design and build alternative fashion collars, cuffs, and related accessories with a focus on durability, comfort, and vegan-friendly materials.

This is not a dropshipping store or a marketplace of other brands. Every Daunting Claws piece listed on this site is designed, assembled, and quality-checked by me before it ships.

What We Make

Daunting Claws focuses on:

  • Collars and chokers

  • Cuffs and wristbands

  • Spiked and ringed alt accessories

Most pieces use faux leather strapping and metal hardware such as spikes, O-rings, halter rings, buckles, rivets, and eyelets. All items are intended as fashion accessories for adults and are not safety devices or medical equipment.

I do not sell products from other brands under the Daunting Claws name, and I do not advertise items that I cannot make or ship.

How Our Gear Is Made

Each piece is either made to order or produced in very small batches. My typical process includes:

  • Cutting and shaping faux leather strapping

  • Marking and hand-punching holes

  • Setting rivets, spikes, rings, and other hardware with presses and hand tools

  • Stitching and finishing edges for comfort and durability

  • Inspecting each item before it is packed and shipped

Because everything is made or finished by hand, small variations between pieces are normal. I do my best to show products accurately in photos and descriptions so you know what to expect.

Processing Times, Shipping, and Returns

Processing time (the time it takes me to make and pack your order before shipping) is usually 1–7 business days, depending on the item and order volume. If processing times change, I update that information on the site.

  • Shipping: Orders ship from Michigan City, Indiana via USPS or UPS.

  • Shipping costs and delivery estimates are shown at checkout.

  • Returns and exchanges: Details are available on the Shipping & Returns page.

I aim to be clear and honest about what I can do. If there is ever a delay or issue with your order, I will contact you at the email address you provide at checkout.

Daunting Claws is:

  • An independent small business owned and run by one maker

  • Using the brand name “Daunting Claws” only for products that I design and build

  • Not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any other brand, platform, or company unless clearly stated. We are on Etsy, too.

I do not claim certifications, partnerships, or guarantees that I don’t actually have. All product information, prices, and availability are kept as accurate and up to date as possible.
